The SPA Retreat Resort and Spa Weddings
The SPA Retreat wants to make your wedding special and intimate. This means taking full advantage of the 18 private villas for you and your wedding party. 10 of these villas have a pull out day bed that can accommodate triple or quad occupancy to allow for larger groups, or children can also stay and attend as an exception to the adults only rule with the full property rental. They also require a 3 night minimum, so that you can fully enjoy the benefits of their packages. With the full property rental, this guarantees that there will only be one wedding booked at a time, to maintain privacy and exclusivity.
The elegant setting and unique attention to detail will make your special occasion memorable and include personal touches to make your day as unique as you are.
The SPA Retreat is also happy to host any other events for you and your wedding guests over the course of your stay with us, including: rehearsal dinners, barbeques, post-wedding brunches, romantic breakfasts-in-bed, or whatever else you think will complete your celebration.

Deposit and Booking Details:
The SPA Retreat requires all 18 rooms to be booked in order to host a wedding reception on property. If this requirement can't be met please let us know. In addition, a minimum three night stay (usually Thursday-Sunday) is required in order to rent the property.
Typically we take a $4,000 non-refundable deposit in order to secure the wedding date. The non-refundable deposit can be allocated towards the costs of the wedding reception.
After we've received your initial deposit, you will be put in touch with our Wedding Coordinator so you can start planning!
You will also receive a suggested payment timeline to aid you in letting all your guests know what their deposit and payment responsibilities are. You will need the following information on hand for your call:
- The dates you will be staying
- The dates of your wedding and reception
- The approximate number of adults in your party
- Your contact information
Once all guests have called in and made their individual room reservation, your initial $4000.00 usd deposit will be allocated towards your personal stay as well as to the cost of your Retreat Signature Wedding Ceremony & Reception.
Jamaican Wedding Requirements
- Certified original copies of birth certificate of both the bride and groom
- If either party is divorced, proof of divorce
- If either party is widowed, Certified Original Copies of the Death Certificate (if applicable)
- Photocopy of ID (driver's license or Passport)
Guest Policies
Weddings at The SPA Retreat can be as large or as small as you would like. Up to 36 guests can stay on-site. You may invite the same number of off-site guests as you have on-site guests to the wedding and reception.
If cancellation notice is received with less than 90 days prior to arrival 100% of the total purchase price will be owed to The SPA Retreat Boutique Hotel and charged to the guest's credit card. If for any reason a guest of the wedding group cancels and fails to provide payment it will be the responsibility of the bride and groom to fulfill payment. Any unsold rooms will be charged in full to the bride and groom at a 3 night minimum.
The SPA Retreat is an adult's only resort, if there will be children under 12 years of age accompanying you we require Private Resort Rental (a minimum 3 night stay/18 rooms) for the duration of your stay.
Guests can be on varying Meal Plans and are not restricted to the same Meal Plan or any Meal Plan if they prefer to opt out.
The Spa Retreat Wedding Timeline
Immediately after booking your Private Handcrafted Stone Cottages
- Onestop will put you in touch with your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator
- Inform your guests of deposit payments of applicable rates
- Inform your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator, of the preferred denomination of your Officiate
- Let your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator know if you will be using off-site vendors for your flowers, cake, photographer, and music (Please note an added fee will apply).
Twelve weeks prior to your wedding
- Start discussing your menu! Phone or email your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator about the menus you would like for your reception, as well as any other events you may be having (rehearsal dinner, bar-b-que, brunch, etc.) Your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator will be able to give you choices and recommendations that are fresh, seasonal, and delicious!
- Fax your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator all appropriate documentation so your marriage license can be obtained
Six weeks prior to your wedding
- Decide what spa and beauty services (hair, nails massage, etc.) will be needed on what days, and for how many people (bride, bridesmaids, mother-of-the-bride, etc.). Let your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator know so that all appointments can be booked in a timely fashion
The week prior to your wedding
- Finalize your schedule of events, menu selections, ceremony time, wedding day schedule, and any other odds and ends that may need to be taken care of!
The day of your wedding
- Hair and SPA services (SPA services are also recommended the day prior if you prefer)
- Ceremony: Please note: Your ceremony time will be dependent on the time of year. Your SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator can advise as to the best times of the day for ceremonies

- Cocktail Hour & Reception

- Confirm your current mailing address and double check all personal information with The SPA Retreat Wedding Coordinator so she can get your marriage certificate to you promptly!
