General Terms And Conditions
|
- Personal Accident Insurance available at a daily rate of US$3.00
- All major credit cards accepted including Discover Cards
- Drivers must be between the ages of 21 and 75 years of age. Drivers under 23 years
will attract an age surcharge of US$6.00 per day
- Driver's Licence must be over 1 year old
- General Driver's Licence required to operate buses
- One additional driver allowed free of charge, any other drivers cost US$3.00 per day
per driver
- All Drivers must be listed on Rental Agreement or the Insurance becomes null and void
- General Consumption Tax G.C.T. - 17.5% charged on Time & Mileage only
- Unlimited free mileage / kilometers
- The Hirer is liable for any damage/loss to the rented vehicle, however we offer a
Damage to Vehicle Waiver D.V.W., that can either limit your liability or eliminate your
liability, whichever option suits you best. The rates / deposits are outlined below: -

N.B. The deposit of US$250.00/US$450.00 stated in the "Nil" D.V.W. coverage quoted above,
will not be used to cover any damage/loss to the rented vehicle, it will only be used in
the event that the vehicle is kept past the due back date. See TPF Coverage below.
- Tire Protection Fee - This coverage (TPF) is only offered if the Nil DVW option is purchased. It covers you in case of damage to the road wheel at a cost of US$2.00 or US$3.00 per day depending on the type of vehicle.
- Some MasterCard Gold and Diners Club credit cards issued in the USA offer a full
comprehensive Auto Insurance coverage to their CardHolders, therefore there would be no
need to purchase additional coverage (D.V.W.), to cover to hired vehicle. American Express,
Visa or MasterCard (Gold/Platinum only) issued out of Canada are also coveraged by the
auto coverage.
- Free delivery and Pick up service available within a one mile radius of any of our six
locations
- Deliver/Pick up service can be arranged for other locations on request. There may be
a nominal fee depending on the location. Check with our Agent for further information.
- Baby seats available - US$3.00 per day

Emergency Breakdown/Roadside Service:
We offer a 24-hour emergency breakdown service that no other local car rental company can match.
What this means is that, if any of our clients encounter problems anywhere on the Island, no matter what time
of day, or night, we will come and get them or get assistance to them.
Meeting Arrangement:
Island Car Rentals operate in-terminal facilities at both International Airports.
After clearing customs, go to the Island Car Rentals desk.
Drivers Restrictions:
Minimum Age: 23 Years, Maximum 70 Years
(Drivers under 23 years will attract an age surcharge of US$6.00 per day)
Drivers License Restrictions:
Holder of a Valid Driver's Licence for at least one year.
Insurance:
Third party Coverage- This coverage is included in the rental rates.
Details of Coverage: It covers death, injury or hospitalisation to the passengers in a vehicle other than
the hired vehicle should an accident occur. This also covers damage caused by the hired vehicle to another
vehicle or property.
Damage to Vehicle Waiver:
D.V.W.: The Hirer is responsible for the full cost of damage/loss to the rented vehicle.
This can be reduced or eliminated by the two Options of D.V.W. listed below.
Option 1
The Hirer can reduce his/her liability from the full cost to a limited amount of US$750 (cars) US$1200.00 (buses)
in the event of damage or loss to the rented vehicle, by purchasing the D.V.W. at a daily cost of
US$12.00 / US$15.00 per day.
Option 2
The Hirer can fully eliminate his/her liability from the full cost in the event of damage/loss to the rented
vehicle by purchasing the D.V.W. at a daily cost of US$25.00 per day for cars and US$40.00 per day for
Space-Wagons/Buses.
NB. If option two (2) is taken, a nominal deposit of US$250.00 will be required. This deposit will not be
used to cover damage/loss, but will only be used if the vehicle is kept beyond the due back date.
This deposit is refundable and can be paid by cash, traveller's cheques or a major credit card.
IF BOTH OF THE ABOVE OPTIONS ARE DECLINED, THEN WE WOULD REQUIRE A DEPOSIT AMOUNTING TO THE VALUE OF THE HIRED
VEHICLE AS THAT WOULD BE THE CLIENT'S LIABILITY IN CASE OF DAMAGE/LOSS, UNLESS ONE OF THE CREDIT CARDS MENTIONED
BELOW IS USED.
Credit Card Auto Coverage: Some MasterCard Gold and Diners Club Credit Cards offer a full Comprehensive Auto
Insurance that covers damage/loss to the rented vehicle. If a client were using one of these cards there
would be no charge for D.V.W. or no deposit required.
(This coverage is only accepted on cards issued out of North America. Visa Gold and American Express Gold cards
issued in Canada also offers this Auto coverage)
Personal Accident Insurance:
This can be purchased at a daily rate of (P.A.I.) up to US$3.00. It covers the driver and up to four
passengers in the hired vehicle in case of injury.

Inter-City Fee:
There is no charge for pick up of vehicle from one Branch and returning to a different Branch.
Credit Cards:
We accept all major credit cards including Discover Card.
Petrol:
Pay deposit for full tank of petrol and return same for refund. (This deposit varies between US$30.00 and
US$50.00 depending on the vehicle).
Rates Valid:
The rental rates attached are valid until December 14, 2010. The arrival date would determine which season
rate applies.
